| Located just behind the local bus station, about
400 meters away from Gandhak-ki-baoli in the Archaeological
Survey of India Park are the Rajon-ki-Bain and Mosque. These
Lodi era monuments are in state of serious neglect with massive
outgrowth of wild vegetation in and around the structures. |
| Rajon-ki-Bain is another four-tiered stepped
well much larger than Gandhak-ki-baoli. The well derives its
name from the fact that the particularly masons (raj) of the
area used it. However, at present, this well has also dried
up. |
| Adjacent to Rajon-ki-Bain is a mosque that is
connected to the well with a flight of steps. The mosque has
a chhatri that has an inscription, which records that it was
built during the reign of the ruler Sikander Lodi (1489-1517). |
| It is advisable not to visit the monuments alone,
as it is located in a secluded and neglected park. However,
it will be a fruitful visit for those interested in baolis or
step wells and the architectural history of Delhi. |
